How Can I Get Involved?

Consultation is an integral component of the Environmental Assessment (EA) process. Consultation activities help to identify potentially significant environmental issues early in the decision-making process and ensure that they are given appropriate consideration. The purpose of the consultation program is to provide input to assist York Region in making decisions throughout the EA process.

York Region is committed to identifying, addressing, and incorporating the public’s concerns and suggestions into the project. With this commitment, York Region encourages your participation.

Public Consultation Centres (PCCs) will be the main forum for public input and will be held at key study stages. The PCCs will include an open house, followed by a presentation and Question and Answer period to allow the public to see results, exchange information, and ask questions of the project team. Three sets of PCCs will be held throughout the study.

Please refer to the Project Schedule for the timing of the PCCs.

Your comments and questions are always welcome and can be submitted at any time during the Environmental Assessment Process. If you wish to be added to our mailing list or submit comments/questions at any time during the study, please go to the Contact Us section of this website.
